A room can have a point of view.
One-off artwork built around the visual language of an officials' room.
Skatemats for your feet. Nothing worse than a wet locker room floor and trying to find a place to take off your skates and keep your feet dry. Our mats are 1/8" thick neoprene-like material, a rubber backing, stitched edges and full-colour graphics — made for the room, not just the photo. It does what it should, keep your feet dry while changing.
Officials spend plenty of time thinking about the game, equipment and their appearance on the ice. Officials also each have our own style which has been restricted to black, grey, white and orange.
So Zebra Clothing and The Ref Room started designing officials clothing in olive, tan, vintage heather, blue and brown, hats in cream and khaki and it sold out.
We realized refs want more, and so we created it.
The standard mat is 22 × 16 inches, but the design is where the personality comes in. Send us the artwork, logo or concept. We handle the sizing, production details and proof.
We'd rather put the work in front of you than cover the page in claims. These are examples of what a SKATEMAT can become.

Mats with a pre-built in eye chart, because we checked pre-game if we were blind.
Blueprint-inspired artwork for people who notice the small things.
We don't need to turn that into a slogan. It's simply part of the work we've done in our first year.
There is no online design builder. For something this specific, we'd rather talk to you, look at the artwork and make sure the final 22 × 16 inch composition works before it ever gets made.
We know the room, the equipment, the culture and the difference between something that looks good on a screen and something you'd actually want sitting under your skates.

We're picky about materials. Picky about proportions. Picky about the artwork. And if something isn't right, we want to know before you do.
Both owners are officials, that are obsessed with details. That's the standard we hold ourselves to — not a marketing line, just how we operate. The conversations never stop on how can we make something even better.
